Community Involvement

At Greystones Restaurant, we believe that a strong community is built on the support we provide for each other. We feel fortunate to be part of such a vibrant and caring town. Over the years, we have made it our mission to give back whenever we can, contributing to local charities and organizations that make a meaningful impact on the lives of those around us.

Whether it’s through hosting fundraising events, donating a portion of our sales, or contributing directly to community initiatives, we’ve been honoured to support various organizations in Orangeville and the surrounding area. We have worked alongside local schools, health organizations, and more, knowing that every small act of kindness adds up to something much bigger.

Since our opening day in February 2021, we have raised $12,000 for the Headwaters Hospital in Orangeville, $15,000 for the Georgetown Hospital, $1,000 for the Bethel Hospice in Inglewood, as well as thousands of dollars to many other local charities and organizations, including the Orangeville Theatre, the Rotary Club of Orangeville Highlands, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dufferin & District, Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Animal Care Centre, Choose 2 Be Resilient Annual Zach & Kaya Memorial Golf Tournament, The Links Social Tour, and many more. These efforts would not have been possible without the support of our dedicated guests and local partners, and for that we are truly grateful.

For 2025 we are focusing on an in-house initiative, donating $1.00 from every breakfast sandwich sold in our cafe to the Children’s Foundation fundraiser in support of the breakfast program at Princess Elizabeth Public School. This program brings healthy food to hungry minds through breakfast programs offered throughout Dufferin, Wellington County and Guelph agencies and schools. These student nutrition programs help children reach their full potential, as many children arrive at school hungry, and unprepared to learn. By providing students with access to nutritious food in an inclusive setting, they are helping them build strong social skills and learn healthy eating habits.

We are deeply committed to continuing our support for the community that has given us so much, and we look forward to finding new ways to make a positive difference for years to come.”
